Kumasi Asante Kotoko team doctor Michael Leat has confirmed that all but two players in the side are fit and ready for outstanding league the clash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
The two, Ollenu Ashitey and Michael Akuffo are still recovering from injuries they sustained in the team’s tragic accident last month.
The game between the two sworn rivals was one of Kotoko’s two league fixtures which were postponed to allow the team time to recover from the traumatizing incident.
Speaking at a press conference for Sunday’s much anticipated clash between the two Dr. Leat provided an update on the players’ fitness saying, “The players are okay to play on Sunday, except Ollenu Ashitey and Michael Akuffo.
“Baba Mahama will be ready on Sunday, he’s fit to play. I won’t force any player to play when he’s not fit. They are okay that’s why we have passed them fit to play.”
Kotoko will travel to Sogakope later this month to take on WAFA in their other outstanding game.
