Seize Land And You Start A Civil War- FF+
Following supports by the EFF and some other politicians for the ongoing SA land grabs Campaign, the Freedom Front Plus says this will plunge SA into a civil war.
Freedom Front Plus’ Groenewald resounded this warning to South Africans supporting an ongoing campaign for lands to be taken without compensations.
The SA land grabs campaign has long been fanned by the Economic Freedom Fighters who had endlessly hint that the country would not be in peace if lands were not returned to their real owners.
Mr Malema has been travelling the country urging black South Africans to take back land from white invaders and “Dutch thugs”. He once told the parliament that his party wanted to “unite black people in South Africa” to expropriate land without compensation
“People of South Africa, where you see a beautiful land, take it, it belongs to you,” he said.
Although progress has been made in creating a balance between the blacks and white in SA property ownership, land ownership is believed to be skewed in favour of whites more than 20 years after the end of apartheid.
The President Jacob Zuma himself supported the SA land grabs campaign when he ordered the parliament to change South Africa’s constitution to allow the expropriation of white-owned land without compensation saying:
“We need to accept the reality that those who are in parliament where laws are made, particularly the black parties, should unite because we need a two-thirds majority to effect changes in the constitution.”
Recently, Minister Lindiwe Zulu in an interview at the World Economic Forum on Africa in Durban supported Zuma’s order for constitutions to be changed in favour of the black race when she said:
“There’s nothing wrong with changing the constitution where it’s not helping you — where we need to change it, we will change it,” she said. “Our people are not going to forgive us if we prolong this thing. Radical economic transformation — what does that mean? Ownership of the means of production. What does that mean? Bringing black people into the space of the bigger economy of South Africa.
“We have to really push it now because if we don’t, we will find ourselves with the same people we said we liberated saying, ‘You liberated us and then what? We are not going to eat politics. Where government feels there mustn’t be any compensation, there shouldn’t be compensation.”
Well, though the parliament is yet to finalise the decision on SA land grabs campaign as ordered by Zuma, the FF+ believe this campaign will only destroy the little peace and stability the country enjoys.
According to Groenewald, any attempts to expropriate land without compensation will lead to civil war in South Africa.
Let me put it quite frankly to you. If you want to start a civil war in South Africa, do that, do that. I told you before, don’t misjudge.” said Groenewald during a debate on the slow pace of land reform using the willing seller, willing buyer policy.
The debate was initiated by the National Freedom Party which argued for limitation rights within the Constitution to be invoked.

The Inkatha Freedom Party’s Mkhuleko Hlengwa supported FFP’s warning by saying while there was no “quick fix” to speeding up land reform in South Africa, it had to be carried out within the law and with fair and just compensation.
“Land grabs must be stopped, otherwise we breed a culture of lawlessness, criminality because if we handle the land question recklessly, we run the risk of descending into an unnecessary spate of violence.” Hlengwa ended saying.
