R104 Million Drugs From Mozambique Busted In Kosi Bay Port Of Entry
BuzzSouthAfrica has been informed about the discovery of R104 million drugs in Kosi Bay port of entry by the South African Police Service (SAPS).
As informed, the Richards Bay Organised Crime Unit members in conjunction with the Crime Intelligence officers in Empangeni and Pretoria arrested three men after the heroin worth R104 million was busted while being transported into the country.
It happened that members of the Pretoria Crime Intelligence received information about a vehicle which was going to enter South Africa through the Kosi Bay Port of Entry with drugs.

As such, the Task Team at the port of entry was immediately activated. Soon, the vehicle described in the information the Pretoria Crime Intelligence received was spotted. The vehicle was stopped and taken to a nearby police station for a thorough search.
With that, several bags of drugs concealed inside a make-shift compartment underneath the vehicle were discovered. SAPS said the R104 million drugs were allegedly fetched from Mozambique.
With the discovery, a 27-year-old man was immediately arrested. Later, after intensive investigations led by the Directorate of Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks), two suspects aged 24 and 29 years were equally arrested in Gauteng.
SAPS said the suspects were found with R50 000-00 in cash. And, will appear before Johannesburg Magistrate Court today. However, it is expected that their case will be transferred to Emanguzi Magistrate’s Court where they will join their accomplice on Thursday, 15 June 2017.

Meanwhile, BuzzSouthAfrica has confirmed the arrest of three suspects who have been linked to the murder of Johan Botha and his friend.
You’ll recall that the well-known television presenter and radio personality was killed during a robbery on 7th June 2017.
As it happened, four suspects, three men and a woman, entered the Zebra Inn Restaurant in Maboneng, Jeppestown where they shot and killed the producer and his friend.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene with two firearms and an undisclosed amount of cash.
SAPS said two men aged 27 and 32 and a woman aged 19 were arrested last night as suspects for the crime. While the woman was arrested in KwaZulu-Natal, the men were arrested in Malvern, Johannesburg.
They will soon appear before a court, SAPS related.
