Mrs Universe Pageant Is Heading To South Africa This Year

For the first time since its inception, the Mrs Universe Pageant is going to be hosted on African soil.

In fact, it is reportedly coming to South Africa to be precise and Durban will be abuzz with activities from the  MRS Universe 2017 Pageant in September. The event will take place at the People’s Park, Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The prestigious event will attract beauty queens from 84 countries around the universe. Subsequently, the contestants will gather in Kwa Zulu-Natal later this year as the Mrs Universe Pageant debuts on African soil.

In other words, Durban will host the annual Mrs Universe pageant which will see beauty queens from around the globe coming to the coastal province to take part in the World Grand Finale.

The Mrs Universe pageant is an international beauty pageant and Human Rights Forum open to married women from different countries and nations of all the continents around the world. The women must be between the ages of 25 and 45, have a family and a career, and are involved in a “significant cause” to uplift their individual local communities. This is in line with the theme; Empowering Women. Creating Change.

Meanwhile, the beauty of Durban will not be the only thing on display during the glitzy event. The pageant will also showcase local artists, dancers and entertainers during the event that will be watched by an international audience.

The contestants and their entourage will also be engaging in tours around the province during their free time to enjoy the beautiful sights KZN has to offer. They will be involved in a week of activities in preparation for the pageant.

The organizer of Mrs Universe pageant also organizes the Mrs Europe, Grandma Universe, and Children of the Universe pageants.
