AKA Lands Radio Slot On Touch HD
The Supa Mega Show: Apparently, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes is not just a rapper as he has landed himself a radio slot on the revamped online radio Touch HD.
His radio slot came after the rapper cut ties with record label Vth Season to work with his company, Beam. Subsequently, AKA will now present his own show dubbed the Supa Mega Show. The new show will be ‘an innovative programme that will blow people away,’ according to Touch HD manager Martin Vilakazi. In other words, it’s no ordinary show. It will debut on June 19.

While Vilakazi is positive that the station had formed a “strategic alliance” with the Supa Mega that would definitely “work”, he added that the online shows would undergo an evaluation process every three months to determine how well the concept is working out.
Confirming last year’s speculation that he was leaving Vth Season, AKA said last week that he was officially leaving to focus on his own company.
“It is with this growth and support structure that AKA and Raphael Benza of Vth Season have now mutually parted ways in all forms of their business relationship, as of June 1, 2017.”
Notably, the Supa Mega appears to have left on good terms as he took his time to pay tribute to the partnership.
“I have the utmost respect for the Vth Season team. Together, we created magic. I have learnt a lot from the music industry, and it’s time for me to start building my own legacy and become South Africa’s first Music Mogul.

“The process of establishing BEAM from scratch has not been easy but has been liberating, as I have a great business team to lean on. Thus BEAM’s focus is not just music, as my ultimate aim is to be a multi-investor, with success in different industries,” he said.
Clearly, The Supa Mega Show is just a tip of the iceberg of what the rapper plans to do post-Vth Season.
