One of Africa’s most famous singer, Koffi Olomide, has been charged and allegedly jailed for his barbaric act.
Bundled off by police at his home in the capital, Kinshasa on Tuesday morning, the music star was handcuffed bundled into a police car. He was then taken to a court building where a prosecutor was waiting for him.
The arrest warrant was from the prosecutor who was looking to interrogate the singer, city police chief Celestin Kanyama has told AFP news agency.

The Rumba singer was then charged with assault and battery in the capital, Kinshasa.
The charges come three days after he was deported from Kenya following a video footage, of him kicking a woman, appearing on the internet and subsequently going viral online.
He was later convicted, receiving a jail term of one year for assaulting a female dancer in Kenya, reports show.
It should also be recalled that he served a three-month suspended sentence for assaulting one of his producers in 2012.
Olomide has dismissed the report that he assaulted one of his dancers identified as Pamela. His lawyer George Wajackoyah also accused police of manhandling the musician.
The singer took to Facebook on Monday to apologise for the incident, describing it as a “moment of madness”.
Prior to that, Mr Olomide denied kicking anyone and said he had tried to “stop” a “girl who wanted to fight the dancers I came with”.
He has faced outrage since the video of the incident at JKIA was shared on social media.
