Uhuru, Ruto Snuggle Up At DP’s First Village House
President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto were caught snuggled up at the DP’s first village house in Uasin Gishu county.
While at the funeral of Ruto’s younger brother Harrison Kiptoo, they slipped away from the eyes of the crowd and security personnel. As a source said, they wanted to have a feel of the compound that had produced the second most important man in Kenya’s leadership.
The two leaders stood minutes telling stories of their childhood on Wednesday.
Standing next to a window in DP’s first village house, Ruto recalled his childhood days and how he was able to muddle along in the village close Kamagut.
He explained that his parents saw his ability of weathering the storm even during his childhood. He remembered how he was hawking chicken when he was growing up – something the villagers still remember him for.
At the funeral, Ruto said the villagers are yet to reconcile with the fact that he is now the Deputy President. He said that when he arrived the previous day, many told him they still viewed him as the ordinary Ruto they knew years ago.

Laughing, he said:
“Mr President, my friend Kilimendi and others find it difficult to recognise me as the Deputy President of Kenya. I was here yesterday and he called me ‘Wee William’,”
